Measures

To see the difference that e makes, let's consider
two calculation problems.

1. I'm offered an investment opportunity for 100$.
It pays 10% per compound interest for three years.
What will that amount look like, after the 3 years.

We have here a very simple situation, with interest
paid annually.

100 x (1.1)^3 = 100 x ((1.1)(1.1)(1.1))
                        = 133.10

If the interest was being paid twice a year, we would be richer!

2. The second is a practical problem. I bought storage
cubes for odds and endd, and each measures a precise
14 inches in diagonal.(AB). What does a side measue?
(CD)

Geometrically, assuming the vertices are of length 1, the
diagonal of a side will be 2^.5 and that of the cube 3^.5.
For a diagonal of the cube measured at 14 inches, a vertex will
come in at 14/(3^.5). Which is close to 8.
