Impedancemeter

Did some surfing yesterday about weight loss . One really interesting find
was on a site for a scale which measures not only weight, but fat percentage,
thanks to a small current whose comeback time is altered with respect to fat
in the body.

This information is useful: for example, a weight loss which does not lessen the percentage
of fat to total weight is not that good: one has lost lean tissue and water.

I was particularly struck by the following table, and the differences in healthy values for
men and women. I had always known women have a higher fat percentage, but had never
looked at it the other way; a male who might look okay evaluated on a female standard
might be very unhealthy:
