No_13

 Django 13 is done. A lot of back and forth, but eventually straightforward.

In effect, a lot of the work here is just using html to navigate around. 

In all, each category now shows up as a page with relevant posts, on request. 

There is a sorry message, if someone asks for for inexistant category. The categories

Fisherman's

Probably my favourite 'Home alone' meal: a fisherman's pie modelled on Shepperd's Pie.

With salmon instead of beef, and colourful vegetables. Cheddar cheese on top!!

Below, had fresh fruit last noight, and Cream of Wheat with milk and fruit in Maple Syrup 

for sunday Brunch.

                                                                      

I'm on Summer Time...

Django 12

 Got through Django 12 which, it turns out, was about creating

categories for the blogs that are created. The best practice version does 

not hard-code the categories; these are dynamically reated. Categoty 

assignment happens as the blog is written.

Django 11

The Bank of Canada took pity on us yesterday;and did not raise rates.

 Quick operation on my simpleblog, this morning. Logged in to give myself the

full Lorem Ipsum text. Only the first 200 characters appear on the home page, at the moment.

Will be working on Django #11, using HTML on a blog post.

                                                                

Pretty straightforward. The problem is to allow html markings to do their magic,

something that Django doesn't allow for security reasons. One merely adds the 

word safe to the template next to body.

There is one side-effect to this:the markings then appear in the home page.

We are legion to do this, and suffer in silence as a consequence. that is, spend hours

indoors in front of a computer screen. The neglected side-effect: eyesight. We are 

always focusing straight ahead. I already knew going outside and looking toward the horizon

made me feel better, but this little exercise routine made me realize how underused my ocular

muscles were becoming. Recommend:

 Django 10 is complete.

I am only allowed to edit a post if I am logged in. If I try using the proper url; I am

locked out nonetheless...

                                                             

This is accomplished with the use of a built-in django function,

Django 10

 Stack Overflow can be a real lifeline, sometimes. Wanted to work on Django # 10

and the authentication process. It's actually embarassing: I made the initial

set-up by throwing in a four letter password. On login, django wasn't having it.

Needed to go to shell, and set up a new (8 letter+) password for the admin superuser. 

Below:
