Consolation

 Poor London: there is a price to all those verdant hills and it is rain,

and plenty of it. The coronation event was drenched, and  those

fun street parties 'à l'eau'. But here's an interesting twist: if it rains a

lot in London - and this is legendary - it actually rains even more here

in the Montreal region. Twenty four inches annually for London vs 30

for Montreal, not to mention our 83 inches of snow. A bit of consolation

there...

                                                    

Didn't make the coronation quiche, but did make a cottage cheese pie from a

traditional recipe I found on the web. Can't go wrong with pie!! I'll be trying

for a salmon quiche later this week.
