Was thinking that there is something very inhuman about
an 11 hour airplane flight, which is was Europe to Los Angeles
clocks in at. I've done Paris Montreal, and Montreal L.A. on
quite separate trips and even that is draining. It's the forced inactivity,
coupled with the food and drink. Sleeping in a chair isn't that5
grand either. Of course, for a price, one can get a premium
experience but only the few will ever use that service.
An interesting twist might be to offer flights with integrated
sleep and rest pauses. For example, someone going to L.A. might
take a break Montreal as part of the flight package. Already, in France,
one can rent a luxury hotel room for day use at deep discount.
People are resting up and exercising before business meetings.
