Non-Newtonian

Storm day(s) for Montreal and region and MSN is going all-out
on recipes for the stay-at-home. Which is fine by me. In fact,
I learned yesterday - watching a History video - that it was common for
European peasants in earlier epochs to spend their time drinking during
the off times from agriculture...😊

Below, a recipe for Breton Far. The ingredients are those of a cake but
the proportions are tilted for more eggs and milk. It is utterly delicious.

Similar in texture, but made with cornstarch, the Flan. A mixture of water
and cornstarch actually yields a Non-Newtonian fluid i.e. one whose viscosity
varies with the strength of the forces exerted on it. There are others!!
