So I am dealing with a leaky battery on a Samsung
Galaxy tablet (my take-for coffee) which I don't use
that often. It is normal, but I need a new one, because
the 'leak' is apparently a health hasard.
All batteries self-discharge over time, but this is made
worse in high heat and humidity environment ;first noticed a gas
splotch on the screen during last summer's 34C heatwave.
Self-discharge is also worse on a charged battery, and
I kept it plugged in at all times. Won't be doing that
aymore!!
Need to understand this is where cheap electronics are expensive:
the specs might be excellent but the materials and workmanship won't
stand up.
Thanks for setting me straight, internet.
