So having slept on it, I have concluded that the Carleton voting
set-up in which Pierre Poilievre lost his seat might be even more toxic.
Names are in alphabetical order so that Poilievre would be down the list
a fair ways. Not easy to negotiate, certainly difficult for a Senior whose
vision, otherwise fine, takes time to adjust to a new bit of text...
Did this group of alledged Independents not in fact publicly state that
they wanted to demonstrate the current procedure for designing the ballot
could produce outageous results. Well, they did!
Worse still, the fact they were all really about this issue as their platform
amounts to Elections Canada allowing over 80 candidates from one 'party'
in a single constituency. Not cool!!
Voilà, I've had my say on this...

Inspired by a piece in the Economist, had a chat with Perplexity AI about
how to form new habits using the insights of Behavioural Science. For a
long time, I thought behavioursl psychology was so-so, not really recognizing
the capacity of the human spirit to prevail. Quite the contrary, one can - in a
very practical way - use its insights to smooth out daily life for ourselves.

I have had my fruit salad breakfast, and I am going out for a walk in the sun.
