Surprise for me, this morning, on my trek through various media.
Life expectancy in France, is weighted in favour of women. I already
knew this as a general principle and thought - like many others - that
it was due to behavioural factors: men are greater risk-takers, they fight
in wars and so forth. Turns out NOT. Men and women currently live similar
lifestyles but the differences are even stronger.
And oestrogen and genetics play a role.
