I am trying to think of a name for it: badass journalism!?
Two Quebec journalists and one Mexican guide have left for Sinaloa
Province, in West-Central Mexico. This is the land of the murderous cartels,
and of the Armed Forces trying - quite unsuccessfully - to contain them.
Each has a million dollar Insurance on his head funded the newspaper,
just in case, and despite dressing and driving like locals, they have benn identified.
Below, their first report back
Takeaways from interviews with Quebec Law Enforcement:
- There is no fentanyl - to speak of - in Quebec(Montreal); it is a West Coast phenomenon.
- There is quite a bit of cocaine and some methamphetamine; the Mexican
Cartels currently control the trade.
They hire local people, so - overall - the level of violence is not unusual.
