Aude Fire

Happy to see the wild fire in Southern France is now contained. It did not take long because

a lot of resources were thrown into it. They are currently able to douse potential fire points

as well as real fires, because of extensive use of GPS localization. Good work on the ground!

From previous reports, we do know that - for the region - this is tragic. It is a wine growing

region and even those grapes not burnt will probably carry a smoky taste and may not be

suitable for wine production...

TODAY'S PROBLEM:

Copilot:

Blogger; there is a new feature on blogger that - if turned on - will automatically generate research links from words. Problem is, not the words that seem useful to me. Can I personalize this is any way?

You're absolutely right to want more control over which words Blogger turns into research links. As of now, Blogger’s new feature that auto-generates research links from keywords appears to be automated and not customizable by default—meaning it selects terms based on its own algorithm, not your editorial judgment.

🛠️ Can You Personalize It?
Unfortunately, there’s no built-in setting in Blogger that lets you manually choose which words get linked or adjust the algorithm’s behavior. However, here are a few workarounds and tips that might help:
✅ Workarounds You Can Try

Manually override links: You can always remove or replace auto-generated links in the HTML editor. It’s tedious, but gives you full control.
Use custom HTML tags: Wrap your preferred keywords in <span> or <a> tags with your own links before publishing. This may prevent Blogger from auto-linking them.
Disable the feature entirely: If the auto-linking is more of a nuisance than a help, you might consider turning it off and curating your own links.

🧠 Smarter Strategy
If you want to keep the feature but guide it more effectively:
Use consistent terminology: Blogger may prioritize frequently used or recognized terms. Repeating key phrases might increase their chances of being linked.
Structure your posts with headings and emphasis: Highlighting certain words with bold or italics could influence the algorithm’s selection (though this isn’t guaranteed).

🔍 Alternative Tools
If Blogger’s automation feels too rigid, consider using external blogging platforms or plugins that offer AI-assisted linking with customization, like:
WordPress with Link Whisper (for smart internal linking)
Ghost (which emphasizes research-driven blogging and manual control)
Would you like help drafting a post with manually curated research links or exploring a plugin that gives you more control?
