This is in line with - in my view - would be a liveable rolling out of tariffs. One announces
25% tariffs on everything as an attention-getter, then one defines, one element at a time what will
in fact be hit by tariffs. Like the most recent announcement that automobiles are gettings a 25% tariff in
April...

Tricky; there will be tariffs on most goods tomorrow, but those on steel and aluminium
won't kick in until March 12, 2025.

Can't help but feel that Canada is being hard done by. There is something fundamentally
fallacious about wanting to redress the balance of trade by country rather
than overall. Like saying one will cut down on buying vegetables and Vodka
in the same breath!!
On the fentanyl addicion issue, dealers themselves have admitted there will be
fentanyl as long as there is a market for it. In other words, one needs to act on the
drug user to get anywhere. Not a simple proposition in a liberal society...
