Hurdle

 Finally found the big hurdle to my solving thid calendar problem: I had

somehow gotten it in my mind that each of those calendar dates was a button

(in some applications, this is the case). Here, not. Each of these is a label widget.

Says so, right in the source code document.

Feeling better, I finally managed to create a tooltip that responds to the chosen

date, and no other. And shows the correct info. Below:
