Contrary

 The thing about learning Chemistry is that one needs help in

appreciating how things work. Either that, or drown in gibberish.

Been listening to some videos about the basics on BBC bitesize, 

but in the wrong order, and finally 'got' something eventually obvious. 

Elements are more reactive on the left side of the periodic table as

one goes down the columns. The contrary is true on the right side...
