Celebration


I don't think that one should be too discouraged at the prospect
of describing the color relationships in an RGB white light model .
It is, after all, the electromagnetic spectrum in a circle.




That spectrum, it will be recalled, ascribes differences in visual color
to the different wave lengths involved, red being the longest and
blue the shortest.

So our circle eventually joins the longest and the shortest: not a physical
impossibility.

Below, my new Holi inspired scarf (the Hindu celebration of Spring,
where people wear very bright colors).


The color Indigo, with both red and blue:


Hex values (to 16 instead of 10) gives a factor of 1.6 between systems. The 48
in #480082 becomes 72 for the Red channel...
