I read an interesting piece about the Houthis yesterday (which I can't seem
to find today ). They are named after a leader called Hussein al-Houthi, who has been
killed but whose brothers carry on. They are Shia Muslim, of a sect who believe
that arms should be taken up against injustice.
The Economist reports they are not above criminal exactions themselves...
