Indian dance has a different niche within culture than Western
danse. For us, dance is very much an appreciation of the body, whereas
Indian dance is highly codified and has narrative and expressive elements
that the spectator is assumed to comprehend. It is, nonetheless, quite
lovely.
The subject is tortuous and - to my mind - comes down to this. Western religious
sentiment runs to humility and is meant ot foster social cohesiveness.
indian spirituality is ultimately about mental health, and fully assuming
one's own godliness in perception. Pas pareil!!
